Linkin Park, Blur and Metallica to headline.
The initial line-up for the Reading and Leeds festivals 2003 has been announced, with a heavier rock edge to this year's festival. Linkin Park will headline the Friday at Reading, which is fast becoming a traditional US rock day, with Blur and The White Stripes top of the bill on Sat. The closing day at reading will see the UK live return of rock gods Metallica - with Courtney Love playing further down the bill.
The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals, taking place over the bank holiday weekend, from Friday August 22nd to Sunday August 24th. Leeds has yet to be granted a licence, which it hopes to receive next month pending further safety improvements.
