Michael Jackson two-hour special to air tonight on Fox in the US.
The furore that has surrounded the UK documentary ‘Living With Michael Jackson’ by UK broadcaster Martin Bashir comes to a climax tonight on US television. US broadcasting company Fox have secured the rights to screen a two-hour special ‘Michael Jackson, Take Two: The Interview They Wouldn't Show You’. It goes out tonight at 2000ET (0100GMT).
Michael Jackson had accused the British documentary maker of hypocritical actions following the viewing of the documentary. It seems that although Jackson had seen the footage additional voice-overs were added to adverse effect at a later date.
TV viewers have already seen a clip of the Jackson version where Bashir is heard commending the star on his abilities as a father and praising his parental skills. Jackson’s footage does not feature any new interview material with the star but instead features an interview with the star’s former wife Debbie Rowe.
Bashir's documentary was seen by 27 million veiwers in the US and 14 million in the UK.
