Coldplay and Oasis triumph on the night with three awards.

Coldplay and Oasis were the big winners at the NME awards last night, with both groups taking three awards each.
Oasis were awarded the Artist of the year and Best UK group, while Coldplay scooped Best Album and Album of the year by NME's writers.
London Indie group The Libertines unexpectedly took the award for the best band and punk rock legends The Clash, whose frontman Joe Strummer died in December, were awarded the prestigious God Like Genius award for their contribution to music.
