Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is being treated for painkiller addiction.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has revealed that he has entered rehab.
In a statement, the singer explained that he has checked himself into a rehabilitation facility to break an addiction to prescription painkillers.
"With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates," he explained.
Tyler also used the statement to refute media reports that he has demanded a two-year break from the band.
He confirmed that he is still a member of Aerosmith and said he looks forward to recording and performing with group once his stint in rehab has ended.
Speculation arose that Tyler had quit the band earlier this year, when guitarist Joe Perry told the Las Vegas Sun that the singer had not been touch with the group for some time.
Drummer Joey Kramer later told US radio station WPLR that the comments had been taken out of context and said Aerosmith have not broken up.
