The new Hole record is the most important Courtney Love has crafted.
Courtney Love has claimed that her new record is her most important work to date.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the rocker explained that she has been crafting material for Nobody's Daughter since 2005 and then recorded it with Billy Corgan and Linda Perry acted as producers.
However, she then decided to rerecord it with a new producer and band, deciding to release under the name of her former group "wherever [she] lay [her] head is Hole".
"It's more important than any record I've ever made, by far," she explained.
Love also claimed that Pink Floyd's The Wall, Diamond Dogs by David Bowie and 80s goth music were major influences on the record, while feminism, greed and vengeance are the main themes it covers.
Recently, Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig told MTV that the band's new album - Contra - takes its name from an 80s videogame and not the Nicaraguan counter-revolutionaries.
