Ian Brown has revealed he and Johnny Marr are working on a soundtrack for a new TV drama.
Ian Brown is to collaborate with Johnny Marr.
The former Stone Roses singer is set to team with The Cribs guitarist to write songs for a series of TV dramas.
Ian told BBC News: We've got a mutual friend who's writing a drama series. One of them's about ticket touts, another one's about grafters - kids who sell T-shirts and things like that - and another one's about pickpockets.
"The idea is that Johnny writes the music and I write the words and the melodies. We're going to get together and do the soundtrack for these dramas. We'd have to bring a drummer or a bass player in."
The singer says he would like to get his former Stone Roses bandmate Mani or Happy Mondays bassist Paul Ryder involved in the project.
