Noel Gallagher claims to have spent £1 million on drugs.
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has praised the availability of narcotics in the music world, before admitting that drugs are bad.
In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere Della, the musician claimed that taking illegal substances is the "most beautiful thing" about the life of a rock star.
He added: "I look at [Coldplay frontman] Chris Martin, who says he has never taken drugs in his life, and I think he is an idiot."
The father of two also told the newspaper that he could have spent up to £1 million on drugs, before quitting because of the damage they do the health and life of the user and the people around them.
Last month, an Oasis gig in Edinburgh was slammed after stewards did nothing to prevent a violent incident.
Bystanders told the Daily Record that attendants stood by as a five-strong gang assaulted another man, which one witness said was the most "despicable act of violence" she has ever seen.
