Self-styled King of Pop Michael Jackson has passed away after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.
The singer was rushed to hospital after the attack, and died around two hours later. He was 50 years old.
Jackson has been dogged by controversy in recent years, with concerns over his health and financial situations being rife.
He was due to start a mammoth UK tour on July 13th, but concerns were raised when some of the dates were cancelled last month.
The musical icon started his career aged just five, when he teamed up with his siblings to form the Jackson Five. He went on to huge international stardom, selling approximately 750 million albums worldwide. Records such as 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller', which became the biggest selling album of all time, have cemented Jackson's status as legendary.
He scored seven UK number ones, and scooped 13 Grammy awards.
He will also be remembered for the infamous child molestation charges in 2002, of which he was later cleared.
Jackson is survived by three children, his mother, his father, and eight siblings.
