Florence Welch won't drink alcohol before going on stage following a disastrous debut concert.
Florence Welch never drinks alcohol before she performs.
The Florence and the Machine singer got so drunk at one of her first concerts, she vowed to always stay sober in the future.
The redheaded beauty said: "The worst gig that I've ever done was in Brighton. It was one of my first gigs, and I thought - naively - that the way to do a really good gig was to be the drunkest.
"I've learnt now that that is not the way forward. I say, get drunk after and not before, you want to be able to remember it. But gosh, it was terrible.
"I was on last and I just got up in a fairy dress, completely off my face, throwing drinks around, swearing, it was horrible. I got into so much trouble with my guitarist for that. It was not my proudest moment."
Florence's debut album 'Lungs' is due for release next month and she is nervous, but excited.
She explained to Clickmusic: "Do you know what, in some ways I think that all the nervousness and the angst that's built up, I feel like it's a bit of a release, really. I think once it's out there, I'll be like, what's all the fuss about.
"What I'm really looking forward to is the fans buying it, and being able to listen to everything, and then when I play live they'll be able to sing it back to me and stuff, which I'm really excited about."
