The Pixies appeared at Village Underground in Shoreditch to promote a new boxset.

Iconic rockers The Pixies have promoted their new album with a surprise gig last night (June 15th).
The Boston band played a set at the Village Underground in Shoreditch to celebrate the launch of the highly-anticipated Minotaur boxset.
After taking requests from the audience, the legendary group launched into a set which treated fans to performances of hits such as Where Is My Mind?, Debaser, Monkey Gone To Heaven and Wave Of Mutilation.
Minotaur, which recently went on pre-sale, includes five of the alt-rockers' albums - Come On Pilgrim (1987), Surfer Rosa (1988), Doolittle (1989), Bossanova (1990) and Trompe Le Monde (1991).
It also features re-interpreted versions of the albums' artwork, which were created by graphic designer Vaughan Oliver, who worked on the originals.
Commenting on the boxset, Jeff Anderson, founder of label A+R, said: "We wanted to re-introduce [the band] to their fans, giving them something that they would truly appreciate and cherish."
Last night also saw Blur play a surprise free gig in London, appearing at the Rough Trade East shore to mark the release of Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur.
