Joe Elliott has revealed that Def Leppard expected transatlantic success.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott has spoken about the band's 30 years of fame and breaking the US.
Speaking to inthenews.co.uk, the singer claimed that he was not surprised when 1983 record Pyromania became a hit across the pond.
He explained: "It wasn't shocking at all - what was more shocking was that it didn't happen in England. We couldn't understand why."
Elliott also suggested that reason behind this was the album being promoted more heavily in the US and people in the country never hearing a sound like it before.
Additionally, he recalled that the band was opening shows for Billy Squire in April 1983 and grew in popularity to be headlining gigs for 55,000-strong crowds by September.
In the interview, Elliott said having a one-armed drummer in the band can be advantageous, as it allows them to avoid using complicated fills.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne is suing the group's guitarist over who owns the band's name.
