Armstrong talks about taking on Bruce Springsteen and how he was scared of playing new material.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has revealed that the band's upcoming performances in the UK could last as long as four hours each.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the singer said the group wants to outdo Bruce Springsteen, who is known for his lengthy concerts, and give fans an epic experience.
He said the shows could last "anywhere from two to four hours long. We want to give Springsteen a run for his money. I think his longest show is maybe five hours, I think Green Day's got six!" he stated.
Armstrong went on to talk about playing material from their new album, 21st Century Breakdown, telling the news provider that they were nervous about performing it.
Meanwhile, Arsmtrong recently spoke about making the record and how it took its toll on him and the other band members.
He said the task of following the success of American Idiot made him, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool feel ill.
