Visitors to a new London attraction can learn about British music.

A new visitor attraction has been opened at London's O2 which charts the history of British rock and pop music.
The British Music Experience, which opened today, covers the top 22,000 sq ft of the building and includes memorabilia from stars such as David Bowie, Oasis and Amy Winehouse.
Visitors to the attraction will be able to trace musical trends through the years and discover its influence on fashion, art and politics.
In addition, the Gibson Interactive Studio will allow them to play Gibson guitars, Baldwin pianos and Slingerland drums, while the studio has video tuition to let visitors play along with British talent such as Amy Macdonald, The Magic Numbers and KT Tunstall.
Workshops, lectures, master-classes and concerts will also be held as part of the centre's educational programme.
Harvey Goldsmith, chairman of the exhibition, said that the UK needs an initiative which "reflects the rich history of fantastic talent that we have spawned continuously that has conquered the world".
