The frontman of Nickelback will not pursue an appeal against a drink-driving charge.

Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has abandoned his appeal against a drink-driving conviction.
The star was handed a one-year driving ban and hit with a $600 (£400) fine after being caught speeding in his Lamborghini in 2006.
Kroeger was convicted of driving with a blood-alcohol level past the legal limit, although he was acquitted of impaired driving, with Marvin Stern, his lawyer, planning to appeal.
The attorney claimed that police asked his client to blow into his face after detecting the smell of alcohol and violated his human rights.
However, the rocker and his team have halted the appeal after a similar case was abandoned by the British Columbia appeal court.
In a statement, Stern revealed: "The state of the law has now changed and we respect the current state of the law and are bound by it and in law there's no ground of appeal left."
Last week, Nickelback were nominated for five gongs in Canada's Juno music awards, including the album of the year and fan choice accolades.
