Wood buys his girlfriend special guitar present.
Rolling Stones-legend Ronnie Wood has splashed out £13,000 on a guitar which was once used by rock icon Jimi Hendrix, it has been reported.
According to the Sun, the bassist bought the instrument as a gift for his girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, who is taking lessons on how to play it.
The 20-year-old, who Wood left his wife for last year, is said to have seen the guitar a few weeks ago and took an instant liking to it, prompting her lover to shell out the money for it.
A friend of Moscow-born Ivanova told the news provider the 61-year-old guitarist has been spending a lot of cash on his new partner.
"She fell in love with the guitar before Christmas but rather than buying it while she was with him, Ronnie wanted to wait and surprise her. He loves to treat her with gifts and tokens of his affection," the insider stated.
In other news, Ronnie is to hold an exhibition of his artwork in Edinburgh later this month.
