A founder member of The Stooges has been found dead at his US home.

Ron Asheton, the guitarist and co-songwriter of The Stooges, has been found dead at the age of 60, it has been reported.
According to the Ann Arbor News, the musician, who was a founding member of the band, was discovered at his home in the Michigan town this morning.
Detective Bill Stanford told the news provider that it is likely Asheton's body laid undiscovered for several days, after his personal assistant told police he had been out of contact.
The officer revealed that police were dispatched to the guitarist's home on Highlake Avenue around midnight after the personal assistant raised concerns.
Asheton's body was discovered on his living-room couch.
Detective Sergeant Jim Stephenson also told the publication that foul play is not suspected in the case, but said autopsy and toxicology results are pending and could determine the cause of death.
Recently, Stooges frontman Iggy Pop appeared in a £25 million advertising campaign for online insurance company Swiftcover.com, which has the new slogan 'Get a Life'.
