Singer reveals plans for a new album next August.

Former Stone Roses lead singer Ian Brown has announced he will release a new album next year.
Writing on his website, the 45-year-old wished fans a merry Christmas before going on to discuss details of another record in 2009, claiming the material he has thus far is some of his very best.
"I'm happy to let you know I'm working up a set of songs that are the best on all levels I've been involved with - ooh baby the music gets better with you! I'm looking to release these songs as an album in August," the singer wrote.
Brown has also been confirmed for a massive performance at the National Opera House in Tokyo early next year.
In other news, the musician's former Stone Roses bandmate Mani recently told Channelbee that a reunion of the Manchester group could be on the cards if Brown can be convinced.
He claimed the other members of the collective are keen to reform.
