MTV Europe Music Awards has named Sir Paul McCartney as an Ultimate Legend.

Sir Paul McCartney was one of the few UK musician to be recognised at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.
The former Beatle received the Ultimate Legend award at the ceremony, which was held at Liverpool's Echo Arena last night (November 6th).
Handing out the accolade, U2's Bono said: "You call him Sir, I call him Lord, Saint
Paul McCartney!
The singer added: "His songs will continue to be sung, heard and played as long as humans care about beauty and longing."
Sir Paul thanked his family, everyone in the UK and all the people who voted for Barack Obama in the recent US presidential election.
Other British acts were nominated for awards, including Leona Lewis, Estelle, Duffy and the Tings Ting, although all failed to scoop a prize.
Yesterday (November 7th), it was revealed that a rare video of the Beatles containing footage of them performing in 1964 has sold for £4,100.
