Liverpool's Major Major are the first acts confirmed for Glastonbury 2009.

The first band to play next year's Glastonbury Festival has been revealed.
Liverpool-based Major Major will take to the stage of the 2009 event after winning the Rockstar Bands competition.
The group will also have a recording session at Peter Gabriel's studio as part of their prize.
On their website, Major Major claim to play "an eclectic and alternative style of indie rock which is a pastiche of rock, disco, punk, cabaret, folk and jazz".
The four-piece also has dates later this year in London, Manchester, Stoke, Leeds, Glasgow and Oxford.
In addition to music, the band claims to be involved in creating art and animations, winning a Liverpool Biennial Award for the A Lego History of Major Major short film.
This year's Glastonbury featured acts from Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse, Kings of Leon and Massive Attack.
Last month, Rolf Harris told Radio 2 he plans to play the festival next year, with his last appearance being in 2002.
