Kate Jackson reveals her plans for the future.

Following the break-up of the Long Blondes, singer Kate Jackson has revealed she plans to pursue a solo career.
The band recently split because of the health problems suffered by guitarist Dorian Cox and Jackson has decided to explore other avenues in the future, BBC 6 Music reports.
She told the news provider Cox is making progress following the stroke he suffered in June, however the other members have decided to head in their own directions.
Talking about her solo album Jackson said: "I'm just beginning but I think it will reflect my personal music taste a bit more than the Long Blondes, which was a collaborative thing".
She added the project is still in its early stages and hopes fans will like the direction in which she is going.
The Long Blondes recently supported Franz Ferdinand on tour and the group told Drowned In Sound the experience was a "great one".
