Dirty Pretty Things have broken up to look into new musical projects.
Dirty Pretty Things have announced they have split to pursue new musical projects, it has been revealed.
The band, made up of Carl Barat, Didz Hammond, Gary Powell and Anthony Rossomando, told NME.com that they will still complete the 11-date UK tour, which is due to start on October 4th in Glasgow.
A statement issued to the news provider read: "It is with some sadness we announce the farewell of the Dirty Pretty Things.
"It's been a glorious three years which we all would gladly live out again, but it is time for us to try new things (not The Libertines)."
The group also said they are reluctant to leave touring behind but revealed they have "splendid future plans".
According to NME, the four piece was formed in 2005 and released their debut album - Waterloo To Anywhere - in 2006, which entered the UK charts in third position.
However, the band's career has also been followed by speculation of a Libertines' reunion, despite constant denials by Barat.
