40,000 fans turn out to see the former Beatle.

Sir Paul McCartney played a show in Israel last night (September 25th) more than 43 years after his band the Beatles were prohibited from performing there.
The 66-year-old went through some of the songs he is famous for, such as Let It Be, Eleanor Rigby and Hello Goodbye, with around 40,000 people watching on.
In 1965 the Beatles were banned from playing in the country by one of the nation's officials, who was worried Beatlemania would corrupt the minds of young people.
The star told Israeli journalists he ignored calls from different factions not to go through with the performance.
"I was approached by different groups and political bodies who asked me not to come here. I refused. I do what I think, and I have many friends who support Israel," he said.
While in the region, Sir Paul made an unannounced visit to the Children's Music School in Bethlehem in the West Bank.
