The Music troubled by download culture
Rob Harvey believes the downloading craze has made music too disposable.
Rob Harvey claims unsigned bands are struggling Rob Harvey from The Music has blasted the download culture prevalent in current times, saying it detracts from the value of artists' work.

The singer told BBC News the rise in downloads coupled with the fall in record sales has made music too disposable.

Harvey also criticised more established bands for releasing songs which can be download for free, saying it makes life hard for unsigned groups.

"I think it's becoming increasingly more difficult for unsigned bands to do anything and I find it bizarre that bands who give music away act like saviours when they could quite easily be helping smaller bands," he told the news provider.

Harvey went on to add The Music are hoping to release an EP in the near future to fill the space between their current album and the next one.

The band have been together as a musical outfit for six years and has thus far produced two albums.
