Police stop the band from playing for because they did not have a permit.

Rage Against the Machine were denied the opportunity to perform at the Ripple Effect concert on the State Capitol lawn in Minnesota, it has been reported.
The band had planned to make an appearance at the event but arrived close to the curfew time and without the necessary permit, meaning law enforcement officials refused to let them play, the Minnesota Star Tribune claims.
As a result, the crowds gathered around the stage became agitated and started singing the Star Spangled Banner and chanting one of the group's most famous lines, "F*** you, I don't want you to tell me".
The impasse led to the band heading into the crowd, rallying attendees and singing a capella versions of Testify and Bulls on Parade.
Caitlin Burns, a stage and logistics manager at the show, told the news provider the police's tactics raised some questions.
"A state patrolman held the band and wouldn't let them enter [backstage] until it was too late," she said.
Recently, the rap-rockers appeared at the Reading Festival wearing orange jumpsuits in reference to those worn by prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
