The Rascals played an exhilarating set on the small but packed out Festival Republic stage, which acted as a war-up for Miles Kane's later show with The Last Shadow Puppets.
Walking on the stage to a DJ playing album track 'Rascalize, the Wirral trio powered through a set of catchy and distorted indie, including recent singles 'Out of Dreams' and 'Freakbeat Phantom'.
Kane's guitar playing was nothing short of sensational throughout the set, whilst drummer Greg Mighall and bassist Joe Edwards provided a heavy and equally as thrilling backline.
Throughout the gig, the crowd remained boisterous, engaging in crowd surfing and chants of 'Rascals, Rascals'.
At one point, they even launched into a rendition of 'who the f*ck is Alex Turner', which led Kane to pour scorn on that particular fire by stating 'calm down, we're all friends here'.
They finished on a forthcoming single 'I'll Give You Sympathy' and a rousing version of 'Is it Too Late', before leaving the stage to a riotous reception.
