Glasvegas played an awe-inspiring set at a packed out Festival Republic tent, inspiring mass sing alongs and crowd surfing.
The four-piece, who donned their usual all black attire with singer James Allen wearing a black poncho, opened with ‘Flowers and Football Tops’, a song about a murdered resident of their hometown Glasgow.
Keeping crowd banter to the very minimum, James Allan remained his usual subdued self, whilst guitarist Rab Allan and bassist Paul Donoghue stormed around the stage, viciously thrashing their guitars.
Glasvegas then played recent single ‘Geraldine’, early demo ‘It’s My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry’ and future album track ‘Lonesome Swan’.
‘Go Square Go’ received the biggest sing along of the set. As the crowd chanted lyrics ‘here we f*cking go’, James Allen turned the microphone away from him to let the fans takeover.
The band finished on the spine tingling ‘Daddy’s Gone’, which again inspired the crowd into a rage of passion, including several crowd surfers.
