Review – Dirty Pretty Things, Leeds Festival, Main Stage, Sunday
Barat and co. rock up their sound – and throw in surprise cover
Dirty Pretty Things played an energetic set on Leeds festival’s main stage, including a cover of Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’.

The four-piece played several songs from recent album ‘Romance at Short Notice’ including the fantastic ‘Hippy’s Son’ and ‘Chinese Dogs’, and the more mellow ‘Plastic Hearts’.

After ‘Gin and Milk’, the band launched into ‘In Bloom’ - a track from Nirvana’s legendary album ‘Nevermind’. The song fitted perfectly with the heavy feel of the set.

They then finished on the popular ‘Bang Bang You’re Dead’, which inspired a mass singalong, and punky number ‘You F*cking Love It’, before guitarist Anthony Rossomando came down to the crowd to engage with fans.
