Amy Winehouse will be appearing at Glastonbury and Nelson Mandela’s concert this weekend despite fears over the singer’s health.
It was feared that Winehouse was suffering with emphysema, but after being cleared of the condition, she plans to play the announced shows.
It was originally feared by Winehouse’s father Mitch that she would be too ill to play the dates, but doctors have said he has ‘muddied the water’ as he is ‘not a medical man’. According to a spokesman from the Associated Press her condition is, in fact, not serious. The spokesman said: “She has something that could lead to emphysema and has to do the right things to stop that happening".
