Mariah Carey did tie the knot last week to video producer Nick Cannon, she has confirmed.
The singer told People Magazine in a new interview that the pair fell for each other almost immediately during the filming of her latest video 'Bye Bye', in which Cannon makes a cameo appearance.
"We really do feel we are soul mates - I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me," the 38-year-old reveals, with Cannon adding, "it was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we've been together, we've been inseparable."
Carey, who revealed Cannon proposed to her on the rooftop of her New York penthouse apartment just five days before their Bahamas marriage - was quick to dismiss reports speculating the couple had rushed into nuptials.
"One thing [few people] knew was we got tattoos a few weeks earlier. So anyone who saw my tattoo wasn't surprised," she said.
