Britney Spears' rehabilitation attempts have impressed a Los Angeles County courthouse judge to the extent that the troubled pop star has been given increased visitation access.
In a statement released by ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan revealed the decision was taken during the custody hearing yesterday in view of the attempts by the 26-year-old to get her life back on track.
Spears lost custody of her two sons in January after being admitted to a psychiatric hospital following her erratic behaviour, which had been steady since her split from Federline in 2006.
Ms Spears's father has temporarily taken over control of the pop star's estate, and her parents accompanied her to court yesterday.
"We are so pleased at Britney's progress and we are very appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress," they said in a statement on Tuesday.
