Nickelback's Chad Kroeger received a year-long driving ban at a Vancouver court house yesterday after being convicted of drink-driving in the Canadian city.
The 33-year-old was stopped by police in June 2006 after being clocked speeding in his cherry-red Lamborghini Diablo, and after taking a breath-test, was found to have almost twice the legal limit of alcohol.
Along with the ban, Kroeger was also fined C$600 (£298).
Speaking on the court steps, Kroeger said that "everyone makes mistakes". His lawyer, Marvin Stern, added they planned to appeal against the decision, saying that police officers had incorrectly taken by breathalyser test by infringing on the musician's rights.
