
Jewish celebrity Barbra Streisand has pulled out of a festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the independent of Israel.
The Jerusalem convention is being hosted by Israeli President Shimon Peres and opens May 13. Streisand was confirmed as one of the event's big name guests and was due to perform the Hebrew prayer Avinu Malkeinu, or Our Father Our King, in front of thousands of people.
However, the US star has pulled out of the event , with Peres' spokesperson unable to give a reason for the non-attendance.
