Guns N' Roses have released a new posting on their official website, updating fans with the news that they are now "in negotiations" for the long awaited release of new album 'Chinese Democracy'.
Although the message did not confirm an approximate release date for the album, which was last rumoured to be hitting record shops in March 2007,
"We're in negotiations for the release of "Chinese Democracy" and things are going well, the message reads. "When we begin to put tour plans together, we'll see where things are."
THe band, fronted by Axl Rose, also touched upon the situation with recent departed guitarist Robin Finck, who has joined Nine Inch Nails.
"Robin's plans caught everyone in Guns, as well as our fans, a bit off-guard," the band says. "Neither we nor management, etc., know any more in this regard and we prefer not to speculate or offer opinions at this time."
