TV personality Trisha Goddard has revealed how her ongoing fight against breast cancer has been fuelled by the way Kylie overcame the illness in 2005.
The 51-year-old chat show host was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year after undergoing a routine mamogram, and has subsequently had two operations to remove cancerous tissue. in an interview with the Daily Mirror, Goddard says a lot of her strength has come from seeing Kylie shake off the disease was a comfort.
She told the newspaper: "Misfortune happens and there's nothing written anywhere that it shouldn't happen to me. But I was a bit overwhelmed. There is that fear about not seeing your daughters grow up."
She added: "Thank God for Kylie. I'd read so much about her and it was really, 'Well hang on girl, she's all right'."
