Kylie has revealed how a doctor failed to diagnose her with breast cancer when she initially sought medical advice.
The pop star was speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her US chat show, and revealed how the first doctor she saw failed to spot the cancer.
"Because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn't necessarily mean they're right," the 39-year-old said, adding that she continued with her Showgirl tour in 2005 after receiving a mammogram until she herself found a lump.
"I don't want to say that to frighten people but that's just a fact," said Minogue, "I had just had a mammogram and they didn't find anything and a couple of weeks later I found a lump. You must follow your intuition and if you have any doubt go back again".
The pint-sized star also revealed how her 'anger' at having breast cancer helped her channel her energy back into her career after receiving chemotherapy.
