Snoop Dogg's victory in January in overturning a decision banning him from entering the UK could be undone after the UK government launched a challenge to overturn the ruling.
The 36-year-old rapper was stripped of his work visa and told he would be unable to re-enter the country after being cautioned in 2006 for affray and the musician was subsequently forced to drop a number of UK tour dates with P. Diddy.
However, the rapper successfully appealed against the ban in January and was expected to return to the UK over the summer to promote his latest album.
A statement by the UK Border Agency this week says it would challenge the January ruling, saying it was disappointed with the judge's decision in the January hearing.
