
The Killers have been unveiled today as the first major announcement for this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The Las Vegas rockers will headline both festivals alongside two other headline acts still to be announced for the weekend of August 22-24. The band last played the festival in 2005 just after the release of their debut album.
Last year, the band headlined the V Festival.
Later on this evening, festival bosses will announce the full line-up at a special industry event in Leeds. Metallica and Green Day are both rumoured to be playing this year's event.
Tickets will be going on sale with later this afternoon (March 31) from 6:45pm, with Weekend Ticket with Camping priced at £155, a new early early entry ticket add-on at £10, Day Ticket £65, Locker £15 and Camper-van parking at £10.
