California punks Pennywise have released their latest album for free today on MySpace.
The veteran band will reportedly become the first band to use the popular social networking site to distribute their album for free, following similar moves from Radiohead with 'In Rainbows' and, in recent months, Nine inch Nails' 'Ghosts I-IV'.
Frontman Jim Lindberg told the LA times they were hoping to experiment with a number of new ways of reaching their fans.
"It's a brave new world in the music industry," said Lindberg. "I'm not really the person that downloads and listens on portable devices…but a lot of people do, and this approach we're doing will really connect with a lot of new people."
