Avril Lavigne has made the transition from punky skater chick to fashion consultant by launching her own fashion range.
The 23-year-old, who shunned pop glamour for years in preference for her own street style, will follow style icons like Gwen Stefani and Jay-Z with her own clothing collection.
Abbey Dawn will be focused towards teenage girls and reflect the singer's own style - a mix of 'authentic rock with a feminine edge'.
"I'm thrilled to announce my clothing line Abbey Dawn. Abbey Dawn will aspire to be a unique and accessible reflection of my ever-changing style," the 23-year-old said in a press release.
Department chain Kohl's will exclusively stock the range in America, and their spokesperson, Don Brennan, said the items will hit rails from July.
"Avril Lavigne is an accomplished artist with a dedicated fan base who appeals to a broad group of shoppers," he said.
