Sony BMG boss Clive Davis has confirmed that fallen soul diva Whitney Houston is on course to release her comeback album this year.
The star has spent more time in the tabloid pages that the charts in recent years after fighting reported drug addiction problems, but Davis says her new album is on course for release before Christmas, with five songs already in the bag.
He confirmed, "It's really good. We're looking to release the album in November."
Houston was rumoured to be performing at the 50th Grammy Awards with Alicia Keys, but is said to have cancelled late in the day after being less than keen on sharing the stage with the piano star.
