
Lenny Kravitz' bout of winter flu became so severe the Grammy nominated rocker has been admitted to hospital, his spokesperson has revealed.
Kravitz, 43, had been suffering from a number of chest infections on top of a bad case of flue since January, and after a recent check up from doctors, was ordered to check into a Miami hospital for his own health, due to "due to extreme dehydration and fatigue" .
"Doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment," the statement read.
A major promo trip to Europe to back his latest album 'It Is Time For A Love Revolution' has been postponed, and it is unclear how long he will spend at the city's Mount Sinai Hospital.
