
The Kooks bassist Max Rafferty has left the band, it has been revealed.
Rafferty will be replaced temporarily by Dan Logan, who plays bass with Brighton band Cat The Dog.
A statement from the band said: "Max Rafferty has parted company with The Kooks - the band will be continuing with the forthcoming shows. Dan Logan, bassist with local Brighton band Cat the Dog, will be filling in for the short-term."
No reason has been given for his departure.
The Kooks formed at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music where singer and guitarist Luke Pritchard met Rafferty.
