The Fiery Furnaces - The Fiery Furnaces EP
The Fiery Furnaces are a band of contradictions.
The Fiery Furnaces are a band of contradictions. It starts with their name (you might expect some kind of cheesy rock act, or perhaps a bunch of devil-worshipping metal heads, but FF are in fact quite the opposite - poppy and melodic) and permeates both their music and their lyrics. Straightforward they are not. They are that rare thing in rock - a brother and sister duo, though a million miles away musically from fictional siblings Jack and Meg White.

'EP' is a collection of singles and B-sides to fill in the gaps between the first two albums (2003's 'Gallowsbird's Bark' and last years 'Blueberry Boat'), and their next full-length effort. There's also the inclusion of the previously unreleased 'Here Comes The Summer'.
