The trouble with Gabriel's recent releases is that they seem to be instantly forgettable - if that's his intention then 'Growing Up' is a classic. I doubt it, however.
There's nothing actually wrong with 'Growing Up', the second single release from Gabriel's recent 'Up' - a hard edged track with influences that take in Indie Rock, Electronica and World Music. It has direction, and there is a tune buried somewhere in there. It just doesn't have an edge. Sorry Peter.
