Girls Aloud - No Good Advice
Another big hit for the more than average Girls Aloud.
’No Good Advice’ begins where it intends to finish. And that is by imitating as many songs as possible. It seems that the way to get a hit these days is to plagiarise your way into the charts. Having said all that - once you’ve got the three songs that keep interfering with your mind out of your head, you realise that this is a great song.
Surprisingly the vocal performance is actually pretty good in this 80's tinged pop salute. There are still a few week links in the outfit but it all runs along pretty smoothly. Girls Aloud strive to add a bit of attitude to their music but alas it never really happens. The Sugababes manage it without trying. Girls Aloud fail. This doesn’t take away the fact that they are probably going to mark out a pretty healthy career over the next few years. The strong will survive and will no doubt go on to mark out solo careers but in the meantime enjoy the storming melodies of ‘No good Advice’.

Oh... forget the video. I've seen more charisma in a bowl of jelly.
