Motion Theory is an alternative-progressive rock band based in Durham. Formed in 2008 at Durham University they had a successful UK tour and EP "Sunlight on the Sand" in autumn of that year.

In 2009 they have recorded their debut album "Featherhead" and will be touring again from August-October.
