Motion Theory is an alternative-progressive rock band based in Manchester. Formed in 2008 at Durham University they released their EP "Sunlight on the Sand" that year.
In 2009 they recorded their debut album "Featherhead" and extensively toured it around the UK from June-October. It has received some fantastic press and won Manchester Music record of the Week in September.
In January 2010 the Manchester Evening News called Motion Theory "Manchester's reigning head-boys of cerebral heavy rock".
