MelonFarmer
"MelonFarmer are a band not content to just follow anyone elses music scene or trends. The 4 piece from Bristol are continuously striving to break new grounds and create their own trademark sound. The style has been given the new genre of "hardcore indie" by the bands fans. This sound can be described as a driving rhythm section of strong, prominent basslines and pounding, up tempo drum beats, forming a strong platform for the heavy, grinding riffs and melodies of the guitar combined with catchy and powerful vocals."
The musical progression can be seen from their debut release of the acclaimed "Time" EP, to the recent 2007 release of the "Kinetics" EP. Typical of the bands non-stop creativeness and hard working ethics, as soon as the "Kinetics" EP was released, attention was instantly turned to the writing of new tracks for the forthcoming debut album, due out in 2008. MelonFarmers live performances have also always received much praise by audiences and critics, due to the bands musical talents, stage prescence, relentless enthusiasm and unlimited energy. The bands commitment to give it everything and then some more on stage has earned them a reputation of one of Bristols best live acts.

best industry quotes
- Bristol Evening Post - Everything was loud and at full pelt but very tuneful and incredibly likeable. Singer Paul leapt around doing scissor kicks while G twitched along while playing thudding basslines. Guitarist Jamie managed to keep going on tracks including Are You For Real while holding his guitar up at shoulder height.
- Rock Reborn - As soon as they started their set, you could feel the energy exploding from the band members. Singer, Paul Hugo, blazed the stage by singing with such fire and passion. It was clear that he was giving it his all and it totally paid off. The drummer, Jason Bailey, was also on fire. A good drummer is hard to find and MelonFarmer are one of the lucky ones. He and bass player, Graeme Del-Nevo, complimented each others roles in the music, slotting together perfectly like a jigsaw. The guitarist, Jamie Lloyd, added his flavour to their mix but kept his own independence at the same time, which made the whole dynamics work.
- One Louder Radio - Melonfarmer are back again with their lively, rocking beats. As soulful as ever and every bit as successful as their previous EP
