I perceive song writing as both a form of escapism and at the same time, an embrace of reality. For me personally, I have been regularly jaded by getting to grips with the monotonous and horrific experiences that life often entails, however, by singing and writing my own music it enables to me to run away from it all…just leave my troubles behind…even if it’s only just for a few minutes, but nevertheless to escape and paint a world of my own. Even if it is merely within my mind… However, at the same time, I realise I cannot totally alienate the world that encapsulates me. I cannot just live an idealistic fairytale fantasy all my life. Therefore, to deal with real life experiences I feel the necessity to write songs. People have different ways in dealing with their emotions, yet, are sometimes unable to express how they feel…I convey my thoughts and feelings within music. My songs are about real everyday life experiences that everyone endures - the good, the bad and the sad!
