Manifesto
"Jangly Downbeat Indy Originals"
The band was created in January 2008, Mark Wilmott spent the last two years hitting the acoustic scene to see how his new songs would go down after his last band The Deeds decided to split up in December 2005. The acoustic songs started to create a buzz and the response and feedback was so great that Mark Wilmott decided it was the right move and time to create a new band and to take a fuller sound out into Manchester and beyond! ''I wanted to take my time in recruiting the right people to create Manifesto'' And Having met up with Matt Hutson (Drums) the chemistry was right, so they decided to rehearse the created tunes which they already had, and a sound was formed. And with this they decided to hit the gigging scene in Manchester and the feedback from bands and punters at the gigs so far has been brilliant and very encouraging. Dan Smith from Strength of the bear & Diesler fame has been added to the Manifesto ranks and with his amazing keyboard sounds and his general enthusiasm mixed with an outstanding musical knowledge the Manifesto sound is beginning to grow even greater. The highlight so far has been the chance for the band to appear on Propeller TV which they have accepted to play on the date of the 20th September which will be held at Jabez Clegg. Also a new studio demo is on the horizon which the band are eagily anticipating and many gigs have also been booked as the bands ethos is to enjoy what they do and to focus on being a creative working band.
