Playing the dirtier side of Pop/Rock, Lounge Fly are an explosive female-fronted six piece from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Debut E.P, Seven Simple Sins was released earlier this year, sweeping up great press and air play on over fifty radio stations including Planet Rock (Rick Wakeman's saturday morning show) and Radio 2XS (Ex radio one DJ Jeff Cooper).
Collectively the six members also rack up previous band credits including GBOB England Winners 2007 (Moonfish), performances on MTV Europe (Mild Mannered Janitors), gigs in some of the best venues in the UK, such as Hammersmith Apollo, Manchester Apollo, Nottingham Rock City and Birmingham Symphony Hall (Double Cross), and session work for Sony and numerous signed artists.
Catchy riffs and solid musicianship, infused with darkly ironic lyrics packed into perfect 3 minute pop songs. Radio friendly, never bland. Think Juliette and the Licks. Think Paramore. Think Garbage. Think No Doubt. And then stop thinking...
Lounge Fly are currently gigging extensively in the UK, in between putting the finishing touches to their second E.P (due out October '09), and filming a music video later this summer.
